The Yarrow Fishery is a trout farm in the Yarrow Valley in the Scottish Borders. The farm was first built in the late 1970s as a farm-to-table fishery. Now, however, we are a restocking farm and grow trout to restock lakes, lochs and ponds both privately and commercially. We transitioned to become a restocking fishery in the 1990s and made significant changes to the farm to provide a more natural environment for the trout to grow and thrive in. This included the construction of large earth ponds which simulate the natural environment and provide the trout with plenty of space, maximising their growth.
